Featuring superior aerodynamic, less weight, and even more power, the 2015 McLaren 675 LT will fundamentally be offered as a barely-road-legal race auto. It may bear all the suitable markings of something you would find out on a public freeway, like headlights, a wind shield, turn signals, plus tires with grooves, but given the suitable environment, the 675LT would handily beat just about any competitor in a competition of speed.
Exterior and Interior
Though McLaren chose not to go into the details of the cabin, it did release a few images to whet our appetite. Front and center is a pair of two-tone racing seating that look to be covered typically in Alcantara, but emerge to have leather bolsters. The rest of the cabin, counting the door sills, door panel, and dashboard appear to be covered in Alcantara with distinction stitching.
As expected, the 675LT is basically a modified 650S, and McLaren went to great length to make the overwhelming 650S even better. Up front, the 675LT features all of the key 650S cues, counting the swoopy air intakes that seem to flow straight from the headlight and the carbon-fiber lower splitter. On the 675LT, though, there are added vertical end plates on the outermost ends of the front bumper, which must help keep things more steady at higher speeds.
Engine and Mileage Details
In fact, McLaren changed so much in the 3.8-liter engine that this gave it a code all its own: M838TL. These modifications push the 3.8-liter engine to 675 PS plus 700 Nm of torque, which quantity to a 25 PS and 22 Nm augment over the 650S.Power routes through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox on its means to the rear wheels.
The end consequence is a 0-to-100 km/h sprint time of 2.9 seconds, a 0-to-200 km/h time of 7.9 second, a top speed of 330 km/h, as well as a power-to-weight ratio of 549 PS per tonne. The 0-to-100 km/h sprint is equal to that of the 650S and the 330 km/h top speed is in fact 3 km/h slower than its small brother, but the 0-to-200 km/h time is a half-second faster.
2015 McLaren 675 LT – Price and Release Date
The 675LT could represent the appearance of the “P15” project first established last year. At the time, price was touted to be around £400,000, or else $608,000 at current exchange rates (1/27/15).
2015 McLaren 675 LT carries extra power, extreme aerodynamics, and just sufficient exterior modification to differentiate it from its 650S donor.
